44 First official look at a near-production ready Aston Martin Valkyrie

Cover for First official look at a near-production ready Aston Martin Valkyrie

Here is Road and Tracks official first look at the new Aston Martin Valkyrie. Aston Martin just recently released number of images and details on a nearly-production-spec Valkyrie. This could definitely be a LMP1 car for the road. Road and Track reported, based on sources familiar with the Valkyrie's development, that the car would produce 1130 hp from its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 and will weigh around 2,270 lbs. Aston Martin hasn't released drivetrain specs yet.

The cockpit has space for two passengers, but they'll be sitting with their feet up, just like in a modern F1 or LMP1 car. Aston Martin confirmed that this car makes about 4000 lbs of down force. Aston Martin has told Road and Track it will be roadworthy everywhere it's sold. That means the US also. Still wonder how this thing is Road Legal.

Will this be a supercar have as much of a impact and standout like the Lamborghini Countach, Mclaren F1 and Porsche 959 road car that will be remembered forever not only for there speed but the advancement of cars in general.

1160hp, 1000hp 6.5l engine with 160hp electric motors.
Carfection just did a sim run and it hit 210mph at the end of the kemmel straight. Lapping 29s faster than “the next best” Aston.

If 2:35-2:40 is the lap time of the other road car, it would put the Valkyrie capable of 2:06-2:11. Faster than GT3 race cars but not exactly lmp1 pace

Motor Trend got a 9.7 1/4 mile time for its LaFerrari. The Valkyrie got a 9.8.

Curb your performance data. -Newey edition-
July 2017: Our roadcar has a lateral acceleration of 4.5Gs!!!! And can beat lmp1s and f1s too!

A bit after that: hey it is 4g or 4.5g, we are not sure tho, but don't be skeptical about it we'll beat formula 1 and Lmps for sure!

March 2018: h-hey we figured out that not all people are dumb to believe our roadcar without a proper rear downforce elements could make that data, so here have the amr pro of it, with a wing and a shark fin and LOTS of vortex generators (despite bashing them for like 2 years) because we aston martin, and adrian newey like to contradict ourselves a lot!

July 2018: hey, even the track version of our concept can only do a bit over 3gs, but no one will notice what we claimed earlier, right?
Right.

Current stats: guess which concept car needs a good old redisgn?

I wonder if a top F1 driver could get 107% time in this at a power track like Monza?

A safety car is supposed to slow them down though.

It would be great publicity to build one just as an F1 safety car.

Found on Autoexpress.co.uk by Aston CEO Andy Palmer:
"This car will be able to lap the Silverstone circuit as quick as or quicker than an F1 or LMP1 car"
Huh... I wish this to be true, but I doubt.

I don't think Aston should be going this route, They should be making cars like they normally do, Beautiful masterpieces, Not track machines , back in 2007 every car they had was absolutely gorgeous, Now damn near there whole lineup is anything but, IMO, For the most partum fine with track performance, But not like this, I'm sure it'll be exciting n what not, But there looking there roots all for the sake of performance.

NA 6.5 V12 with 1130hp on a road car. Like I would ever believe that. Where is its electric motor?
