Possible 7th gen Camaro?

NCM Motorsport Park 1:32.15 is WRONG and there must be a type. The C7 Z06 turned NCM Motorsports Park 1:58.25, so how is a ZLE almost 30 seconds faster.

I cannot believe it took me 5 years to realise this but Chevy made a huge mistake with the model range of the 6th gen Camaro! The Z28 was supposed to have a detuned version of the supercharged LT4 motor making about 605hp and the ZL1 was supposed to have a detuned version of the supercharged LT5 motor making about 710hp, however Chevy just let the Camaro Z28 have the exact same LT4 motor as the C7 Z06 making 650hp, then decided to call it ZL1 instead of Z28, then Chevy just canceled the entire (true) ZL1 program! They introduced the SS 1LE package a year before and made sure it was really good in order to substitute for a lack of a Z28. I have no idea how I missed this.

Remember how the 5th gen camaro Z28 had the LS7 motor from the C6 Z06, and the ZL1 had a detuned version of the supercharged LS9 motor? That's almost exactly how it was supposed to be with the C7 and 6th gen camaro

((20600m/(250km/h/(182m*0.3048m))x(1829kg/638hp)/1.27g)x0.0095x0.95 = 7:29 for regular ZL1 models

((20600m/(250km/h/(182m*0.3048m))x(1829kg/638hp)/1.27g)x0.0095x0.925 = 7:17 for the 1LE version, which is very close to GM's verified 7:16 laptime record.

The ZL1 models match their claims in terms of estimations!

@FastestLaps please transfer all ZL1 1LE data to the original ZL1 page and delete this page, it's cluttering and pointless... seriously, it's like adding a Weissach Pack version as a separate from the regular RS versions of Porsche models, it's too much clutter... plus the 1LE is not any faster in a straight line

Only real differences are the wing, splitter and tires... not enough to separate and also not much lighter, only by around 50-60 lbs

https://fastestlaps.com/models/chevrolet-camaro-zl1-mk-vi

This and the GT500 CFTP page both should be deleted or transferred. Thanks

I won't be doing a future straight-line performance simulation on the ZL1 1LE model since it's actually not any faster than the regular model in that department. I have yet to develop professional estimations for road course laptimes. This way we can compare ZLE vs ZL1, Z51 vs Stingray, etc etc.

For future performance simulations, please refer to the regular ZL1 page.

Estimated Acceleration Stats: Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE (Manual/Automatic)
0-30 MPH: 1.7 sec/1.5 sec
0-40 MPH: 2.2 sec/2.1 sec
0-50 MPH: 2.8 sec/2.6 sec
0-60 MPH: 3.4 sec/3.1 sec (100 km/h: 3,5/3,2)
0-70 MPH: 4.2 sec/3.8 sec
0-80 MPH: 5.1 sec/4.5 sec
0-90 MPH: 6.1 sec/5.3 sec
0-100 MPH: 7.4 sec/6.3 sec
0-120 MPH: 10.5 sec/8.9 sec (200 km/h: 11,4/9,7)
0-150 MPH: 18.6 sec/16.7 sec (250 km/h: 21,0/19,7)
0-180 MPH: 39.0 sec (300 km/h: 46,2) (manual)
Top Speed: 193.3231/174.5457 mph (311.1234/280.9040 km/h)

Manual standing quartermile time (no rollout): 3.4+7.4/(3.4+7.4)x12.5 = 11.95sec@127mph
Acceleration off the line (manual): 7.854103 m/s2 = 0.80 G = 0.3s rollout (11.65 dragstrip time)

Automatic standing quartermile time (no rollout): 3.1+6.3/(3.1+6.3)x12.5 = 11.45sec@133mph
Acceleration off the line (automatic): 8.62299 m/s2 = 0.88 G = 0.25s rollout (11.20 dragstrip time; 10.95 with VHT prep and Track Mode enabled)

Disclaimer: DON'T take the automatic results above seriously. I have configured some corrected estimates, including a 4.0s 0-100 sprint along with an 11.9 0-200 time without a rollout in this comparison:
https://fastestlaps.com/comparisons/vrhdkf3ji28k

That said, the automatic ZLE should be quicker in one whole kilometer than its manual counterpart on average, while retaining an identical quartermile time. This is because shifting times on the auto are lightning quick compared to the auto. With rollout, one should expect 3.7 to 100 and 11.6 to 200. It could still do 11.5 on a quartermile dragstrip, but I doubt that it's aero would push it towards 11.1. A regular automatic ZL1 should be quicker by one-tenth than a ZLE, but it's even better-built for the strip anyway with a theoretical 11.4 quartermile time.

As someone who greatly dislikes the looks of the C7 generation, I'd take this over the Z06 anyday. It's not exactly unsuspecting, but definitely not something you see everyday.

Now that they updated this car with the 10-speed gearbox, do ya think it'll be faster 'round the 'ring?
Also, this car with the 1LE package versus the Ford Mustang GT500 with the Track Pack? Which will be faster?

It seems like to be in the right ball park. It was just slightly slower than the ACR SRT-10 at Willow Springs, and here it's just slower at the Nurburgring. Still impressive
