Basically a Ford Expedition with Lincoln badge, more bells and whistles, and 50 more horsepower from the same kind of engine, a 5.4 liter 331 cubic inch V8. A lot of people like them simply for the prestige, and that's it, they want something big, loaded, and with a luxury name. 310 horsepower is pretty good for an SUV 1998, but it's still just a status symbol.
