I had a 1990 Toronado Tro"feo. It's a far cry from this beast and you really can't compare them. Mine would go 124 MPH, and it was only a 6 cylinder.

@Anonymous One has to remember that with all pre-1972 U.S. made cars the horsepower is in SAE gross. Gross hp means without accessory drives, air cleaners, exhaust systems etc. Basically the manufacturer was free to take the bare engine to the engine dyno with any attachments (read tuned headers and no mufflers) that it wanted and publish the results for advertisement purposes. They were not policed in any way, so the horsepower figures before 1972 are not to be trusted.
