@ Mental
Thank you for your research and info. I heard rumors about these cars being invincible but good to hear some more facts in detail. I remember from my childhood that before one of these armored cars passed, the road and other roads next to the main road had to be shut down for traffic. It was a security measure . This meant if the president decided to go to his summer home outside Moscow for example you couldnt get into town for hours.

Unbelievable, but these series ZILs really can weigh that much, and even more. But the curb weight hugely varies from modification. From 3335 kg up to 5225, depends on the vehicle's purpose.
I also explored some interesting facts about this car. Many armored vehicles use kevlar panels under the covering, but ZIL doesn't. And it is not because Russians didn't know what kevlar is, LOL. They managed to create a steel "armorcapsule" as a basis (4-10 mm), and then just make a car around it. Sounds not too practical, but hell reliable. The car was tested under firing. And it easily protected from 7.62 mm bullets and luckily survived grenade explosions on the roof and under the bottom. And what more! Its 47mm bulletproof windows survived.. anti-tank 14.5×114mm cartridge! That's so unbelievable, I even doubt! And the construction of the car doesn't allow the car to roll over.
Also some civilian facts. The "basic" ZIL 41047 that weighs 3335 kg can do: 190 kph top speed; 0-100 - 13 sec; braking distance from 80 kph - 40 metres; fuel consumption - 22l/100km. Incredible result, well, except the fuel economy.
Americans envy. Soviet engineering rules! :D

In a museum? As far as I know, soviet union no longer exists.

@FastestLaps
Not only that but it carries a very fat soviet dictator in the back-left. You can see the whole car is leaning on one side.
:D
By the way a 5 tons bulletproof limo shouldn\'t be on fastestlaps.com.
