Imagine a 330i followed by a 340i/540i with a 4.0 inline 6 producing over 320 bhp with no turbo. Zipping from 0 to 60 mph in 5 seconds, 6 speed manual, 8 speed automatic, etc. A navigation screen integrated into the dash instead of cheaply stuck on top of it, without bizarre front end styling and headliners. This is the direction BMW should have taken.

That would be reality if average BMW buyer was as educated about cars as we are and with as good a taste in cars as we do. But they aren't. And products reflect on consumers.
